CAMBRIA CO, Pa (WJAC) — State police in Cambria County have arrested and charged a Portage man who is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl on multiple occasions, according to a criminal complaint.
Troopers say 28-year-old Andrew Maul faces charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, indecent assault and corruption of minors, according to court documents.
The complaint states that troopers were notified of the assaults in June by Cambria County CYS.
Investigators say the victim was interviewed twice, in December of last year and then again in January, about the alleged crimes.
Police say the victim told authorities that Maul would lay with her on the bed and watch "TV about private parts."
Investigators say on several occasions, Maul would reportedly pull his underwear down and place his genitals on the victim's head, hip and butt.
Maul would also reportedly masturbate while laying next to the girl, and the victim told police that he did rape her as well.
Maul has since been arrested and arraigned to the Cambria County Prison, where he later posted bail.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 28th, court dockets show.
