UPDATE |

State police in Indiana County say the suspect accused of robbing the S&T Bank in Homer City Borough on Wednesday has been arrested.

Troopers say the suspect, identified as 28-year-old Dylan Robert Clark Rider, of Homer City, is alleged to have presented a note to the bank staff and then left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Upon further investigation, police say they learned that Rider fled the scene in a white, 2010 Chrysler Sebring, and that he acted alone.

Investigators say on Thursday afternoon, Wilkinsburg Police allegedly attempted a traffic stop on Rider's vehicle, at which time he reportedly fled.

Police say on Thursday evening, a little after 6 p.m., troopers were notified that Rider was seen traveling eastbound, on Route 22, towards Indiana County.

Troopers say a second attempted traffic stop was initiated and again Rider fled, leading police on a high-speed chase.

Police say during the pursuit, Rider allegedly drove in the opposite lane of travel and even struck a state police vehicle.

Troopers say Rider eventually exited the vehicle on foot where he led police on another pursuit and attempted to steal a state police patrol car.

Investigators say Rider was taken into custody in the area of Route 119 and Snyder Lane, in Burrell Township.

Police say a search of Rider's possessions led to the discovery of an undisclosed amount of cash with serial numbers matching the money that was stolen in the bank robbery.

Authorities say a search of Rider's vehicle also led to the discovery of the suspect clothes worn during the bank robbery, as well as a "detailed" drawing of the inside of the bank and a loaded rifle.

Police say Rider faces several charges, including felony robbery, theft and resisting arrest.

He is being held at the Indiana County Jail and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 18.
