The next film in the Batman franchise, Batman Forever was produced in 1994 and was directed by Joel Schumacher. It became a hit, earning over $336 million at the box office.
Other movies he did in the 1990s are: James and the Giant Peach, Sleepy Hollow, Superman Lives, Mars Attacks, Cabin Boy and Ed Wood. Entering the 2000s, he began his next projects, Planets of the Apes and Big Fish. The latter was based on the novel Big Fish. The film was a hit and it received four Golden Globe and Oscar nominations.
