How to Pick Nature and Gender of Your Starting Pokemon in Lets’ Go?
To pick your starting Pokemon Gender and Nature in Pokemon Let’s Go, you’ll basically have to restart the game. Let me explain. When you start the game, you’ll get a starter Pokemon of a certain Gender and Nature. There are 25 different natures available, but we’ll get into that later. Anyway, if you’re not satisfied with your Nature / Gender combo, here’s what you have to do.
';document.getElementById("serge_5f895c6208f81a315320ec57").style.display = "block"; }Do not save the game; this is important if you want to reroll your starter Pokemon. Go back to the Nintendo Switch home screen. Go to Pokemon Let’s Go and select Close Application. Start the game over and see what combo you got this time. If you aren’t happy, go back to step one. Rinse and repeat until you get the combo you want. It’s a huge hassle, but that’s how the cookie crumbles.
Oh, by the way, one important side note here. Unlike previous Pokemon games, you don’t get to choose your starter Pokemon in Pokemon Let’s Go. Instead, your starter Pokemon will depend entirely on which edition you bought. If you purchased Let’s Go Pikachu, you get Pikachu. If you bought Eevee, you’ll get Eevee.
Starting Pokemon Nature Bonuses
As we’ve noted in the first section, there are 25 different Natures in Pokemon Let’s Go, and they also apply to your starting Pokemon. Most Natures give a 10% boost to a certain stat, but it comes at a price. Every nature that boosts one stat by 10% also lowers another stat by the same percentage. Pokemon Let’s Go Starter Pokemon Gender Differences
As far as we can tell, there is no practical difference between starter Pokemon genders in Pokemon Let’s Go. The only discernible differences we can spot are the looks. And, even then, the most noticeable distinction is in the look of the tails. What I mean is, the tails of a boy Pikachu / Eevee and a girl Pikachu / Eevee look different, and that’s all there is to it. In other words, other than the looks, there’s no reason to worry about your starter Pokemon gender in Pokemon Let’s Go.
Best Nature for Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee Starter
The best Natures for your starting Pikachu in Pokemon Let’s Go are either Hasty or Naive. Both will increase your Speed, which is really useful for Pikachu. Hasty will lower your regular Defense, and Naive will lower your Sp. Def, or Special Defense. Pick whichever you like.
The best Natures for your starting Eevee in Pokemon Let’s Go are Jolly, Adamant, or any Nature that basically has no effect: Serious, Hardy, Docile, or Quirky. The four no-effect natures are good because Eevee is a nice and balanced Pokemon overall (and, indeed, my favorite). Jolly gives you extra speed, at the cost of Sp. Atk. (Special Attack) which isn’t much to speak of anyway. Adamant also costs you your Sp. Atk., but boosts your regular attacks, which is a good trade-of in Eeevee’s case.
Ultimately, though, these are guidelines, not strict rules. You’re free to chose whichever combination best suits your gameplay style. Consult the table above, and see what you like.
