The action starts with the Adventure Races at 11 a.m. Saturday at Kingsland Point Park. The three races feature a kindergarten and first-grade event with three mystery events, a second- and third-grade race with four mystery events and a fifth-grade race with five mystery events, according to a news release from the Village of Sleepy Hollow.
Those looking to register for the Adventure Races are asked to visit active.com. Pre-registration is $10 per team with registration on race day set at $20 per team. Teams are required to have one child and one adult who will race through the course and complete the mystery events, according to the release.
Sleepy Hollow's Oktoberfest runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Kathryn W. Davis Bathhouse Pavilion. The event promises to feature live bavarian music by John Stevens' Doubleshot and authentic food and beverages from Red Poodle Catering, JP Doyle's, German School New York and Heidi's Finest German Bakery, according to the release.
There is no charge for admission but there is a $5 charge for parking.
