COPENHAGEN, Denmark (CelebrityAccess) Denmark’s oldest shopping mall, the Roedovre Centrum, has removed a wax statue of Michael Jackson out of fear it may be offensive to some customers and may be vandalized after recent revelations of Jackson’s alleged sexual abuse of minors.

Charlotte Anderson, marketing manager for the Copenhagen mall, told Denmark’s TV2 broadcaster that they had received about 15 complaints about the statue, mostly from families with children, according to the Associated Press.

The mall had announced an exhibition of wax statues that include Marilyn Monroe and Julia Roberts to coincide with Danish Schools’ weeklong winter holiday. The Jackson statue was replaced with one of Brad Pitt.

Concerns over Jackson’s possible sexual abuse of children has risen with the recent debut of “Leaving Neverland,” a documentary that chronicles the alleged sexual relationship between Jackson and two pre-teenagers.
