John Paul Lavoisier

Born as John Paul Seponski in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, Lavoisier was initially interested in drumming as a child and attended the University of the Arts in Philadelphia with a major in jazz percussion. At 20 he left school to go to New York and try to pursue an acting career. He studied at The School for Film and Television, and The Michael Howard Studios, and was part of the theater company Streetlight Productions.

Lavoisier found fame portraying Rex Balsom on "One Life to Live" from 2002 to 2012, and later appeared on the reality show "Dirty Soap" with then-girlfriend and co-star Farah Fath ("OLTL's" Gigi Morasco, "days of our Lives'" Mimi Lockheart) as well as other soap opera stars.

After a few stints with online soaps, Lavoisier returned to daytime when he took over the role of Philip Kiriakis on "Days of our Lives" on December 11, 2015.
