Isla Lang Fisher is an Australian actress, born on February 3, 1976, in Muscat, Oman. The daughter of Scottish parents, Isla moved to Australia at age 6, where she grew up and studied in Perth. From the age of 9, Isla showed interest in writing and acting. With the help of her parents, she began appearing in Australian television commercials while she was studying at Swanbourne Primary School, where she participated in student plays. After working in some short films, Isla debuted in the television series Paradise Beach (1993), but her first important role was the following year with the series Home and Away (1994-1997), a production in which actors such as Guy Pearce, Naomi Watts and Heath Ledger, over 390 episodes.
