INDIANAPOLIS (CelebrityAccess) A funny thing happened at the Eagles’ tour kickoff in Indianapolis last night: the band introduced another family member – Don Henley’s son, Will – on guitar, but apparently without any fanfare.

The band’s re-creation after co-founder Glenn Frey’s death includes Frey’s son, Deacon, who made his debut during last year’s Classic West and Classic East weekend concert events (along with Vince Gill). It came with a lot of media attention.

This addition, however, was not preceded by any media announcements nor speculation, and Will’s appearance wasn’t with a lot of pomp & circumstance.

Don Henley just played guitar alongside this person and gave encouragement, which led to several fans asking on social media, “Who was the mysterious guitar player to the side of Vince Gill?” according to the Indianapolis Star.

Intrepid reporter David Lindquist did some gumshoe research and asked that of “an Eagles spokesperson” who said that the mystery man is indeed Henley’s son, Will, who will leave the band in the fall when he goes to college. (CelebrityAccess confirmed the appearance)

Word is apparently getting out market by market.
