The former teacher in Tennessee who was accused of raping a child has been arrested again, less than three weeks later — this time for coercion of a witness, aggravated stalking, and harassment.

Alissa McCommon, 38, was first arrested on Sept. 8. She bailed out and was not allowed to have any contact with the alleged victim, or any minors other than her own children.

But Covington police say that’s not what happened.

On Sept. 26, they heard McCommon, using “a previously unknown phone number, initiated additional contact with a victim.”

Authorities say they have evidence McCommon texted a young victim, using a specific code word known to the minor as a code word she previously used to confirm the child “was alone, often before sending nude photographs on SnapChat.”

They said she used the code word on Sept. 28 and “sent multiple text messages to [the] victim indicating he would ‘regret doing this.’ McCommon, using the same number, also admitted to a sexual encounter with the victim.”

“Due to the nature of the communications, we are concerned others may have been contacted,” Covington Police Chief Donna Turner said.

McCommon was denied bond, pending a court appearance.

The new charges she faces are coercion of a witness, aggravated stalking, tampering with evidence, and harassment.
